3 on 3 Basketball Tournament Schedule of Events
WHEN: Sunday, February 10th, 2008
WHERE: Lake Forest High School Field House
TIME: 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. – Check-In / Open Shooting / Practice
12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. – 3-Point Shoot Tournament 1 st round qualifiers
1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. MMCF Carnival (for ages 4+)
1:15 p.m. – Opening Ceremony – “First Shot”
1:15 p.m. - Back by popular demand the Julie Davis "Land-a -Hoop" ball roll between games! (details @ the event)
2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. – 3 Point Shoot Finals on Center Court
1:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Tournament Games Played (most levels to finish by 4:30 PM)
FORM YOUR OWN TEAM AND SIMPLY WRITE DOWN WHO IS ON YOUR TEAM WHEN YOU SUBMIT YOUR ENTRY FORM. The competition will be 3 on 3, and each team MUST have 4 members. If you are a single and don’t have a team – no problem! We will find a team for you. We will do everything possible to ensure that it is a fun event. NVA COACHES WILL REF the 3 rd & 4 th, 5th & 6 th and Mom’s divisions.
For all kids 4 years+ (including our 3 on 3 players who are still young at heart) we will continue to offer a basketball themed carnival. Returning again this year's event will be a balloonist and amoon jump. Unlimited game play, food, snowcones, snacks & fun are all included with your donation at the door. (No game tickets needed to play games!)
The MMCF Greatest 3-Point Shoot Tournament Ever! Sign-up the day of the event at the check-in table. 1 st round qualifiers will run 12:00 noon – 1:30 p.m. Top 8 shooters from four separate age categories will advance to a bracketed final tournament played on the main court starting at 2:30 PM. Many have asked, “Can you play on a 3 on 3 team and still do this event?” ABSOLUTELY! The event does not conflict with 3-on 3 game play.
DONATION: - suggested donation is $50 /adults & kids (or $200/ team) gets you into all the day’s
events (tournament, carnival + 3 point shoot tournament)
- family cap: $200 max/family
- suggested donation is $25/ child for carnival games only
If you’d like to ignore the cap and donate more … that’s fine, too!
