COMBINE DAY is mandatory in order to fit kids for proper helmet, shoulder pads and pants size.
And, similar to the NFL combine, players will be tested for speed, agility, and strength,
as well as being weighed in to determine weight class breaks.
If your child cannot attend his/her scheduled time please feel free to attend a different time slot.
Kids who can not attend either day, will be pulled aside at the first preseason practice and measured & weighed .
We will also cover some program expectations and rules of conduct. Kids should wear comfortable clothing
similar to what they might wear for gym class, i.e.. shorts, t-shirts, sweatshirts, etc.
Kids can wear gym shoes or cleats for footwear (no TEVAS or sandals please)

We have several changes this fall- we transition to a new location- LAKE FOREST COUNTRY DAY SCHOOL
1) First, our group sizes and coaching staff numbers will be increased for each session. This is due to that we need to fit more practice time in and have less time to do it. In the past, we have had groups sizes of 20 -25 kids with 2 to 3 NVA coaches. This year are groups will be 40 -50 kids with 5 to 7 NVA coaches.
2) If your child can't make a practice due to a conflict or illness, here are a couple options: Practice drills & instruction for groups B & C are basically identical. So rather than miss, you may attend either one of these practice groups. We'll make sure that kids are not "mis-matched" with someone too big or too small when we get to contact drills & stations. Kids in group A should NOT attend any of group B or C practices. Instead, we have tried to provide two time practice options so you have some flexibility.
3) Parking: it is IMPERATIVE that we park in the proper lot. We have been assigned the ECC lot, which for those of you unfamiliar with LFCDS, is the lot located off of Onwentsia Rd. (please see map). The practice fields are a short75 yard walk from this point. We will station a crossing guard for safe crossing at the cross walk between practice sessions. DO NOT STOP ON GREEN BAY ROAD AND DROP YOUR CHILD OFF !

LAKE FOREST COUNTRY DAY SCHOOL PARKING DIRECTIONS
Parking for NVA practices will ONLY be permitted the following area listed below (ECC PARKING LOT). There will be LFCDS after school activities, games and other school functions taking place that parking closest to the main school building is reserved for. Do not park in this area even if you are a LFCDS parent.

ECC parking is located off of Onwentsia Road. Turn on Onwentsia from either Green Bay Rd or Western Avenue. You will then need to walk your child roughly 75 yards from the parking lot to the practice field. There is a cross walk with a stop light. We will have an NVA coach serve as a crossing attendant between practice sessions. DO NOT drop your child off at the cross walk from Green Bay Rd !

schedule for the remaining week due to all these changes. Continue to follow your current schedule until further notified.
We may add an extra practice during the season to make-up for this if we can't fit them in by the rules of the game.

The only change will be a delayed start time of Group "C" 3:30 PM practice
The NEW start time will be 4:30 PM due to the soccer
program which has the gym until 4:30PM. (see change below)

Groups "B" & C" PRESEASON JAMBOREES
Before the season officially begins where scores & standings are kept, we hold 20 minute scrimmage games.
The format is "jamboree" with two teams scrimmaging on the south end of the field, and two others on the north end of the field.
Teams continually rotate and switch to play another opponent. Specific jamboree game times will be listed on the game schedule that kids
will receive at the "Rules of the Game" practice Friday, September 19th. Jamboree Dates: Jamborees are slotted for Sat. Sept 20th 
         
OFFICIAL GAMES SET TO BEGIN ON SUNDAY, SEPT. 21ST
