Most clinic groups have 18 - 23 kids assigned. We have scheduled coaching staff accordingly to handle the group sizes.  For this reason, it is VERY important that your child attends the group she has been assigned. We ask that you please do not take advantage of this for car pooling. If your child cannot attend a clinic due to a CONFLICT, simply have her attend a DIFFERENT clinic group (same age level) that meets at a different time that fits your schedule.NO CALLS NEEDED. Special requests made on your registration form will be handled later when permanent teams are formed if possible. Kids will be asked to leave if they are group jumping and the group is too large. We must do this for safety.
Team uniforms will be issued at the final Rules of the Game clinic. Until then, players wear comfortable clothing  (shorts, sweats, t-shirts, etc.) to play. Kids should wear gym shoes (basketball, tennis, or cross-trainers) and NOT boots , sandals, or slip-on "Merrils". Please NO CLEATS until games begins.
All players will be required to wear protective eyewear this season !
We will provide field hockey sticks and protective eyewear at each practice and game. It is not necessary to purchase your own. However, you will need to purchase a set of shin guards. If you do own a stick, you may bring it to all practices and games.If you would like to purchase your own stick and protective eyewear, please see the attached order form.  Players who decide to provide their own sticks and eyewear should have them properly labeled so there are no conflicts of ownership.
PLEASE LOOK FOR THE NVA FIELD HOCKEY SIGN TO ALERT WHERE PRACTICE WILL BE HELD ANY GIVEN DAY.  If it were to rain or there is a threat of rain we will hold practice indoors in the ice hockey rink. Other possible locations arethe grounds across the road from the Sports Complex (where we played last year).
	Directions to Lake Forest College location: From Deerpath Rd in Lake Forest, head east from downtown. At  Sheridan Rd., head South(right). Follow Sheridan Rd. past “Middle Campus”, and look to the right for a red and  brown brick building (Sports Center), as well as a LFC sign saying “Sports Center”. Turn right into driveway. The  first clinic at the college we will meet with the kids in front of the Sports Center, and walk them to our playing  location.

These times are devoted to anyone who would like some instruction on playing goalie. YOU MUST  CALL THE NVA OFFICE (847-295-0682) TO RESERVE A SPOT , there is limited space. Please do not show up if you have not  registered!!! After a short instructional time you will have time to put the pads on and practice stopping shots on goal hit to you from the coaching staff.

Pre season jamborees are held for all levels older than 3rd Grade
PRE SEASON JAMBOREE PRACTICE GAMES WILL RUN ON EITHER TUESDAY, JUNE 10TH OR WEDNESDAY, JUNE 11THPLAYERS SHOULD PLAN TO PLAY TWO 20-MINUTE SCRIMMAGE GAMES THIS DAY AGAINST TEAMS FROM THE LEAGUE
