| 2008 NVA BASEBALL GAME SCHEDULE | |||||
| GAME LENGTHS | |||||
| Kindergarten, 1st & 2nd grade leagues are 1 hour in length | |||||
| 3rd Grade & 4th & 5th Grade games are 1 1/2 hours in length OR 5 innings, whichever comes first | |||||
| 3rd Grade and 4th & 5th Grades Leagues ONLY have 30 minutes of batting practice any days listed in "notes" area | |||||
| PICTURE DAYS- Please note team picture days are during game times or practices with Underlined and italicized . | |||||

| If your child is sick or if you are out of town on picture day, you may contact Fitzgerald's at 847-234-3055. | |||||
| A re-shoot for an individual can usually be done on a day when they are at the fields taking pictures of other NVA baseball or field hockey teams. | |||||

| Baseball Skills Competition, Red/Black All Star Game, Playoffs |   |
||||
| Following the completion of the regular season, the 3rd Grade and 4th & 5th Grade leagues | |||||
| players have the opportunity to compete in the NVA Baseball Skills Competition and the NVA Championship | |||||
| Both the 3rd Grade and 4th & 5th grade leagues will feature the NVA Red/Black All Star Games. |  |
||||
| Players may qualify for The Baseball Skills Competition ONLY on Tuesday, July 22nd | |||||
| Players elected to the Red/Black game (voted by NVA coaching staff) will be notified via letter and listed online one week prior to the game. | |||||
| Top two teams in both the 3rd Grade and 4th & 5th Grades Leagues advance to the NVA Championship. | |||||
| The Championship will be a "best of three" series. More information will be available as the regular season plays out. | |||||

| The Thunder & Muckdogs both finished with identical 6-3-1 records. We need to play a one-game playoff between these two teams to decide who goes to the championship. Based on the schedule the rest of the week, the only time we can fit this in is with an early start at 2:00 PM this Wednesday. I had originally informed folks at the field Sunday that we would play this on Monday, but due to the early start time, we felt it was too short of a turn-around time to contact families directly with calls who weren't at Sunday's game. Our hope is kids with day camp conflicts might be able to leave an hour or two early this day in order to make the game. We apologize in advance if this cause any inconvenience with family plans or schedules. | ||||
