Most practice groups have 18 - 23 kids assigned. We have scheduled coaching staff accordingly to handle the group sizes. For this reason, it is VERY important that your child attends the group he or she has been assigned. We ask that you please do not take advantage of this for car pooling. If your child cannot attend a practice due to a CONFLICT, simply have him or her attend a DIFFERENT practice group (same age level) that meets at a different day and time that fits your schedule. NO CALLS NEEDED. Special requests made on your registration form will be handled later when permanent teams are formed.

W e will utilize the Lake Forest College grounds near the Sports Center for all practices.  The Sports center & the Ice Rink be available for indoor use should we encounter inclement weather.
Look for the information sign when you arrive which will inform you of the location of the daily practice. 

Directions to NVA Baseball Sites           
        Directions to Lake Forest College location: From Deerpath Rd in Lake Forest, head east from downtown. At Sheridan Rd., head South right). Follow Sheridan Rd. past “Middle Campus”,
and look to the right for a red and brown brick building(Sports Center), as well as a Lake Forest College sign saying “Sports Center”. Turn right into driveway.
The first practice at the college we will meet with the kids in front of the Sports Center, and walk them to our playing location.

If you've played NVA baseball, you need not attend.

RULES OF THE GAME & UNIFORM DISTRIBUTION- AT LAKE FOREST COUNTRY DAY SCHOOL  
NOTE THE NEW LOCATION
      WE SWITCH FROM LAKE FOREST COLLEGE TO LAKE FOREST COUNTRY DAY SCHOOL 
(145 S. GREENBAY RD - LAKE FOREST) WHICH WILL SERVE AS OUR "HOMEBASE"  FOR THE REST OF THE SEASON.
THE FIELDS WILL BE LOCATED BEHIND THE SCHOOL (FACING WESTERN AVENUE) ON THE FAR SOUTH END OF THE PROPERTY. 
ENTER OFF OF GREENBAY ROAD AND PARK IN THE LOT CLOSEST TO THE SCHOOL. WE'LL HAVE COACHING STAFF AND SIGNAGE TO HELP DIRECT YOU TO THE FIELDS.   
   
                   
           
This is primarily a lecture practice - kids will be talked through different rules and examples to serve as a final preparation before game play begins.  
There are some NVA house league rules that are different from normal baseball rules.
 Game schedules, team rosters and uniforms will be handed out at this practice.                 

Each year we're asked, "My child can't make it to his/her rules. Can we attend a different level's rules unit or are the rules different?"
Answer: Rules are different for each level, BUT, rules for T-ball & 1st & 2nd grade are ALMOST identical.
Rather than miss, you can have your kindergartener attend the 1st & 2nd grade rules or visa versa.
Rules for 3rd grade and 4th & 5th grade leagues are ALMOST identical. Same thing here as above.
Rather than miss, you can have your 4th or 5th grader attend the 3rd grade rules or visa versa.

WE WILL BRING ALL UNIFORMS & HATS WHICH ARE NOT PICKED UP TO THE FIRST GAMES.
IF YOU CAN'T MAKE IT TO THE RULES/UNIFORM DISTRIBUTION, JUST SHOW 15 MINUTES PRIOR TO HIS/HER FIRST GAME TO ALLOW TIME FOR PICK-UP & CHANGING
