NVA AWARDS SCHEDULE

Our award system is unique for youth athletics, yet mimics the high school award system of varsity letters and pins. The following is a breakdown of what each letter and pin means.
AWARD PINS - Awarded every season, these pins pertain to the individual sport and the number of seasons a child has played that sport.
Rounded Rectangle: 2004
year pin (1997 - present) = the year a child first participated in an NVA sports program
specific sports pin (basketball, baseball, field hockey, football, soccer pins) = awarded the first and second seasons a child has played in the specific sport
(pins are gold in color)
gold star pin = awarded for the third season a child has played in the specific sport
gold bar pin = awarded for the fourth season a child has played in the specific sport
red star pin = awarded for the fifth season a child has played in the specific sport

red bar pin = awarded for the sixth season a child has played in the specific sport

black star pin = awarded for the seven season a child has played in the specific sport
black bar pin = awarded for the eighth season a child has played in the specific sport
white star pin = awarded for the ninth season a child has played in the specific sport
white bar pin = awarded for the tenth season a child has played in the specific sport
SPECIAL AWARD PINS - Awarded for the following special feats:
Rounded Rectangle: CHAMPS
champs pin = awarded to the league champions

Rounded Rectangle: ALL STARS
all stars = awarded to players who were elected and/or played in the NVA Red/Black All Star Game
CHENILLE LETTERS - Awarded for the total number of NVA sports programs participated in throughout a child's NVA playing career
red "N" = awarded for the second NVA season played



black "N" = awarded for the tenth NVA season played



white "N" = awarded for the fifteenth NVA season played





20th sport patch = awarded for the twentieth NVA season played
